The trek starts from the Tons Valley in Garhwal and takes you through the unexplored regions to the Sangla Valley in north east corner of Himachal Pradesh. The trek follows the Rupin River and passes through deodar forests. On a clear day, Rupin Pass offers spectacular views of the Kinner Kailash range. From the pass we descend down to Sangla Valley where the Baspa River flows.

DAY 01: DELHI ‐ DEHRADUN ‐ MUSSOORIE (Drive 35 km: 1 hr, 2,000 m)

Fly into Dehradun and transfer to Mussoorie. Evening free to explore the Mussoorie. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 02: Mussoorie – Mori (180 km, 6‐8hrs) ‐Dhoula (1,130 m, drive 180 km: 6‐8 hrs)

Drive from Mussoorie to Mori mostly following the River Yamuna. A beautiful climb through pine forests will lead us to the tiny settlement of Mori. Mori is a quaint village by the river Tons and has beautiful pine forests all around. We will drive further through a dirt road to Dhoula. Overnight at the camp.

DAY 03: DHOULA ‐ SEWA (2, 000m, 12km; 6hrs)

Our trek starts from here; we will trek about 12 km in about 6 hrs. This day start with a gradual climb on a newly built road until Dantadhar. After Dantadhar we can see the beautiful Rupin valley. After by few
climbs we arrive to Sewa village. At Sewa there is a very impressive wooden temple dedicated to Mahasu Devta, a local diety. Overnight: Tent/Homestay.

DAY 04: SEWA – JISKON/JAKHA (2,650 m, 12km: 6‐7 hrs)

As we start from Sewa village, we will see the local houses made from native wood. The gushing Rupin River is a remarkable sight. We walk a few km on the new road from Changsheel Pass (Himachal). This connects theses remote villages and there is hardly any traffic on it. The trail and surroundings is extremely picturesque. We will continue further to Jakha village; the last and highest village in the valley. Overnight at the campsite.

DAY 05: JISKON/JAKHA ‐ SARUWAS THACH (3,450 m, 12 km; 6‐7 hrs)

Today’s trek is 12 km and we will take about 6‐7 hrs to reach Saruwas thach camping ground. We will be moving at a leisurely pace so as to enjoy the beauty of the place. Overnight at the campsite.

DAY 06: SARUWAS THACH – LOWER WATERFALL CAMP (3,800 m, 5km; 3hrs)

We will set out through the forest and then reach the meadows. We will set up our camp at the lowerwaterfall in a lush green meadow. It is fairly easy day to acclimatize at this high altitude region. Overnight at the campsite.** We can also go further to the upper waterfall camp, if people are fit and acclimatization is good, the following day can be used for complete rest/ leisure.

DAY 07: LOWER WATERFALL CAMP‐UPPER WATERFALL CAMP (3,950m, 5km; 3hrs)

It is a day with amazing views down in the valley. This campsite is considered as one of the most beautiful in this whole trek. Post monsoon we can see many kinds of Himalayan flowers. Camp near the waterfall.

DAY 08: UPPER WATERFALL CAMP‐NURU (3,600 m, 14 km: 8‐10 hrs) VIA RUPIN PASS (4,625 m)

Early morning we set out towards Rupin pass, its steep climb through boulders and sometimes with some snow patches at the upper reaches of pass. From the pass enjoy fantastic views of the Kinnaur Kailash range. From here we will descend to the grazing grounds at Nuru. Overnight at the campsite.

DAY 09: NURU ‐ SANGLA (2,650 m, 12 km: 6 hrs)

Continue our walk from Nuru to reach Sangla with great views of the Kinner Kailash mountains to our north with the most beautiful Baspa valley. From Sangla drive to the campsite. Stay in a luxury camp resort.

DAY 10: SANGLA‐SHIMLA (2,200 m, drive 225km: 6‐7 hrs)

After breakfast we will drive to Shimla. Overnight in hotel.

DAY 11: SHIMLA‐CHANDIGARH (drive 130 km: 2‐3 hrs)

After breakfast we will drive to Chandigarh airport for our journey home.
