DAY 1 CHANDIGARH – SHIMLA

Arrive in Chandigarh. Proceed towards Shimla, leaving the plains behind through winding roads. Overnight in Shimla.

DAY 2 SHIMLA –NARKANDA. EVENING VISIT HATU PEAK

Narkanda (2683 m / 8800 ft; 2 hrs) Drive to Narkanda , after spending the morning in Shimla. Visit Hatu peak in the evening to watch the spectacular Sunset. Overnight at Narkanda.

DAY 3 NARKANDA – SARAHAN – SANGLA

Narkanda to Sangla via Sarahan (2165 m / 7100 ft; 202 km; 8 to 9 hrs) We Proceed towards Sangla. Enroute we pass through Sarahan a small hamlet. And visit Bhimakali Temple. The Temple with its six silver coated doors is a mixture of both Hindu & Buddhist style of architecture. Continue our drive to Sangla . Overnight at Camp.

DAY 4 ACTIVITIES: TREK TO CHITKUL & LOCAL VILLAGE VISIT

Trek to Chitkul and visit a local village. Chitkul is the highest & the last village on the Indo – Tibetan trade route. We walk for 6 km to Nagasthi the last Indian Outpost. Post Lunch you trek back to Chitkul. From Chitkul we drive back to our camp. Dinner at Camp.

DAY 5 LEISURE DAY. OPTIONAL TREK TO RAKCHAM

Leisure day at Sangla After breakfast you have the option of going for an easy stroll along the beautiful Baspa River. This river flowing along the valley is famous for its trout fishing. In the evening you could visit of taking the Batseri village and visit the local diety temple OR you could take an optional 4hrs walk to Rakcham village along the Bapsa river. Overnight at Campsite in Sangla.

DAY 6 SANGLA – KALPA

Sangla to Kalpa (2960m / 9710ft; 50 kms; 2 hrs) Morning is at leisure and after lunch we proceed for Kalpa.This picturesque little hamlet offers a breathtaking view of the Kinner Kailash range. Kalpa is also home to the Chilgoza tree. In the eveningwe walk to Old Kalpa and visit Kalpa Monastery. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7 KALPA – NARKANDA

Kalpa to Narkanda (2683 m / 8803 ft; 213 km; 8 hrs) We make an early morning start and drive along the Hindustan Tibet road. A drive along this road is truly spectacular as it seems to cut through the mountains. Dinner and overnight at a hotel or Camp site

DAY 8 NARKANDA– CHANDIGARH AND FINAL DEPARTURE

Narkanda – Chandigarh (179 km; 4 hrs) After breakfast drive to Chandigarh and transfer to the Airport or the Railway station for onward journey.
